Stable Unglazed Hardwood Door specification -

For door stability and ecological reasons, Hardwood Stable Doors may be manufactured from engineered door components, which can include MDF, particle-board and laminated timber. Stable Hardwood unglazed doors are supplied with loose beading fitted to one size; the bead recess is deep enough to fir a double glazed unit. With solid hardwood lippings and thick hardwood veneers they have the looks and feel of a solid timber door with the added advantage of being a stronger and more stable product. Stable Doors are supplied unglazed and un-treated, for on-site finishing - see Mendes door treatment instructions .

It is recommended that any External hardwood door must be protected from exposure to direct sun and rain. This is usually achieved by a porch, recess or overhang of a minimum of 1.5 meters. If this precaution is not observed, the performance and appearance of the door will not be satisfactory.

- Hardwood is a natural material - variations in knots, colour and grain should be expected.
(Be aware: For a multitude of reasons, Stable Unglazed Doors may vary from batch to batch, especially when sourced from different factories in the Mendes Group, so it is best to purchase all you need for a job in one go, rather than buying more at a later date. We cannot match to other Stable Unglazed Doors.)
