Save up to 40% on Timber Decking!

There are many benefits to creating a timber deck, from a dramatic increase in usable space to the addition of significant financial value to your property. Whatever size of decking structure you're planning, from a massive masterpiece to a compact and cosy creation, JAS Timber can quickly and reliably supply everything you need to achieve the most professional results.

Here are four top tips to help you create a safe, attractive and lasting decking structure...

  1. Planning Permission. If the decking structure you're planning will cover more than 50% of an outdoor area and/or will exceed a height of 30cm above the ground below, you need to seek and receive planning permission from the local authority. Failure to secure such permission is illegal and could result in a removal order.
  2. Deciding on a Design. Decking installed at ground level is the least complicated and also does not require safety components like balustrades and handrails. However, a raised decking platform looks much more aesthetically pleasing and also provides practical storage space underneath. Elevated decking is especially suitable for uneven ground. Whatever you decide, you should ensure that equal weight is given to both practical and aesthetic value.
  3. Choose High-Quality Components. Our range of decking components includes a selection manufactured by our trusted partner company Cheshire Mouldings, which was established in 1988 and remains family-run to this day. 4. Protect & Colour. Complete your new decking structure with Ronseal Decking Stain. The formula is designed for heavy-duty performance, strongly resisting peeling, cracking and blistering. Choose from four colours: Rustic Pine, Rich Mahogany, Country Oak and Golden Cedar.
