Firecheck Door Casings: Save 10%!
Fire poses a serious threat to people living or working in any building and so adequate measures must be taken to minimise this risk as much as possible. One such measure is the installation of fire doors, of which an extensive range is available here at JAS Timber.
We are also proud suppliers of Firecheck door casing sets: for a limited time, you can save 10% on the already-competitive price of these sets, making them more cost-effective than ever before.
Firecheck door casing sets from JAS Timber are made using Scandinavian redwood of immaculate joinery quality. The softwood is fully certified by the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification); Chain of Custody (CoC) certification can be provided by us if necessary.
The sets, which are available in a selection of sizes, are supplied as three loose lengths of rebated softwood casing. As standard, the casings are unjointed, untrenched, unprimed and unfinished: see below for further options.
- Joinery Options. Regular casings are supplied uncut at a standard frame-section width. For a small extra cost, we can machine the casings in our workshop, accurately fine-saw cutting them to your specified length
- Trenching Options. You can upgrade from the standard untrenched casing head to one that is trenched to the exact width of your door
- Intumescent Strip Options. All casings feature a groove into which an intumescent strip can be installed. You can purchase these strips separately from JAS Timber or have them supplied as part of a complete casing set order.
Firecheck door casings should be treated and fixed into place at the earliest possible opportunity after purchase, which will help to minimise and movement or surface splitting that may occur due to variations in moisture content.
