Door Casing - External
Door Frames & Door Casings - (External) :
Softwood external timber door frames are taped in sets = 2 casing legs & 1 untrenched head, wide enough for 33" doors.
Loose lengths are also available in most external casings - up to 2.4 & 4.2 Metres. (Door linings are normally sets with loose door stops to be planted on after fitting the lining timber.)
Hardwood and Oak door casing kits are often pre-packed with 2 casing legs, 1 head, 1 cill and 1 cill-bead. These have mortice & tenon joints for easy assembly, and are grooved for draught-strip.

Timber is a natural product - variations in knots, colour and grain should be expected.
Sizes are the usual timber nominal size that the timber moulding is machined from, with a finished size that is generally obtained;
(Be aware: For a multitude of reasons, size and profile of timber may vary from batch to batch, so it is best to purchase all you need for a job in one go, rather than buying more at a later date. If it is important, then you need to check these sizes and profiles before commencing work. We cannot be held responsible for any variations in machined timber sizes or pattern.)
Prices are shown for casing sets at the moment, but prices can be quoted per running metre for specific lengths; We can price larger quantities and pack lots per cubic metre.
