The plug-in solution includes all components for automatic opening and closing – “Plug & Play” is the motto. Sockets are available for internal electric-blinds, and for external shutters/sun-blinds. The R4 Timber Rotronic Roof Window is supplied for switch control, or if specified for remote control operation comes with integrated triple radio receiver;
For switch control, a Roto switch will be supplied with the window;
For remote control, the remote control option needs to be selected in the drop-down purchase menu.

The R4 Rotronic Pine Timber Roof Window is centre pivoting and double-glazed, with an exterior cladding of anthracite-grey polyester-coated aluminium. These Timber Roof Windows can be fitted easily and quickly into roof slopes of 15 to 90 degrees, using standard polyester coated aluminium flashings for tile or slate roofs.

Two windows can be "stacked" one above the other, with combination flashings. The lower window being manual operation eg R7, and the top one being electric operation R4.
