We make these Traditional Staircases in our own workshop;
Closed-Tread Softwood Staircase with 9mm Ply-Risers;
13 Stair Risers @ 299mm = 2600mm overall rise;
and ex 25mm Softwood Timber Stair Treads;
Domestic Specification to Building Regulations.
ex 9x1.5 PSE Scandinavian Redwood Stair Strings;
Nominal timber size - 38x225mm - finishes approximately - 32x215mm after machining;
ex 11x1 PSE Whitewood Stair Treads,
Nominal timber size - 25x275mm - finishes approximately - 21x240mm after machining;
with 15mm Half-Round Nosing and grooved to take Risers;
9mm WBP Plywood Risers - finished thickness approximately 8mm after sanding.
Strings are trenched, sanded, glued for Treads and Risers, then clamped, wedged and blocked, for minimum movement in the finished Staircase. All stair treads, risers, wedges and blocks are glued with an exterior-grade PVA Adhesive.
