Gates and Yard Gates
Gates and Yard Gates can be made to size and pattern in our workshop.Economy Yard Gates are made from softwood VT&G (20x114mm finish) with standard glued and nailed cross battens (32x69mm);
Made to Size Yard Gates can be manufactured from Scandinavian Redwood 20mm VT&G Boards, ex 38x100 PSE Gateback, with a grooved Gate-Capping, using a standard construction method of glued and nailed. For added strength diagonals can be specified.
We can also make other types of yard gate or garden gate to your design in our Joinery Workshop, in Softwood, Hardwood or Oak.
Workshop items are NOT treated with any paint, primer or preservative.
We recommend microporous treament on all surfaces and edges to protect your gate & to avoid problems with movement in the timber; However due to the nature of softwood and because we have no control over its useage or maintenance, we cannot offer a guarantee against splitting, twisting or bowing in external softwood products.
