| ALTERNATOR 12 Rise Spacesaver Staircase : Open-Tread Softwood - The price shown is a guideline for 12 rise alternator stairs up to 36" wide; Extra charges would apply for child-bars, closed-treads, fitting newels etc. and also for carriage. We make these in our own workshop, and can manufacture staircases to your measurements, with newel-posts, bull-nose steps, kite-winders, and closed treads, if required. They can be made in a choice of timbers including Sapele-hardwood and Oak. Domestic Specification - ex 9x1.5 PSE Scandinavian Redwood Strings; ex 11x1.5 PSE Whitewood Treads, Strings are trenched, sanded, glued for Treads, then clamped and screwed, for minimum movement in the finished Staircase. All our stairs are glued with an exterior-grade PVA Adhesive.
