• Made to Size Stairs

  

  Made to Size Domestic and Commercial Stairs at JAS Timber :
  - Bespoke staircases made to size, from JAS Workshop. Domestic and Commercial specifications, staircases and kite-winders complying to Building Regulations can be manufactured in our Workshop to your design.
  For Softwood Stairs we would normally use Strings made from Scandinavian Fifth Redwood, ex 38x225mm section for excellent strength, Treads machined from 25x275mm Unassorted Whitewood for stability, and Risers cut from 22x225mm Whitewood. Treads and Risers are glued and wedged into routered stair strings to eliminate movement and any squeaking in the final staircase.
  Kitewinders and Bullnose bottom steps can also be manufactured to your specification, and Newel-posts morticed and tenon jointed to the strings if required.
